Jazz Impro Norway’s Summer Camp 2026 will take place from July 26th to August 2nd at Agder Folkehøgskole, in Søgne, Norway.
Register here by June 15!
Welcome to JazzImpro Norway’s annual summer camp in jazz improvisation! For over 50 years, this course has been a cornerstone of jazz education in Norway — with alumni and former teachers among the country’s greatest musicians. Our focus is on interplay and improvisation: if you want to develop your improvisation skills or learn to play in a group setting, this course is for you.

What can I expect?
- Daily ensemble playing with your instructor.
- Your ensemble will perform two mini-concerts through the week.
- You will get instrumental lessons on your main instrument, either in groups or one-on-one.
- We have music theory classes for all levels.
- Each day features a “teacher’s hour” where each teacher gives a masterclass or concert.
- Jam sessions every night – everyone’s invited.
You can also expect musical joy, inspiration and new friends. During the week, you get to experience the beautiful south coast of Norway — sunshine, swimming, and great food!
